Search ads by image: find Facebook and Instagram ads from a picture
Search Facebook and Instagram ads by image. Drop a product picture and find every active ad in the Meta Ad Library that shows it. First search free.
To search ads by image, drop a picture into Squinto. It finds the active Facebook and Instagram ads that show the same product, from the Meta Ad Library, in every country. Meta's own Ad Library only searches by keyword.
How to search Facebook ads by image
- Open Squinto.
- Drop in a picture of the product (JPEG, PNG or WebP). A photo, a screenshot or a store image all work.
- Drag a box over the product.
- Press Squint.
Each result shows:
- the ad itself;
- the advertiser;
- how many days it has been running (long-running ads usually make money);
- a match score;
- a link to the ad in the Meta Ad Library.
The first search is free and needs no account.
Search Meta ads by image, not by keyword
With keywords, you only find ads whose text contains your words. Most product ads don't name the product, and many are in another language. A picture is the same in every ad, so searching by image finds the ads keyword search misses.
Who searches ads by image
- E-commerce sellers checking whether a product is already advertised before they buy stock.
- Dropshippers looking for the stores selling a product, and how long their ads have been running.
- Brands watching for ads that use their product photos.
- Shoppers trying to find an ad they saw.
Tips
- Box the product only.
- One product per search.
- Use the clearest picture you have.
Limits
- Active ads only.
- Ads from Meta's apps only (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Audience Network).
