How to find an ad from a screenshot
Have a screenshot of a Facebook or Instagram ad? Here is how to find the ad, the advertiser and the store from the screenshot, in a few seconds.
To find an ad from a screenshot, drop the screenshot into Squinto and box the product. You get the active Facebook and Instagram ads that show it, with the advertiser and a link to each ad in the Meta Ad Library.
Find the ad from your screenshot
- Open Squinto.
- Drop in your screenshot (or paste it).
- Drag a box over the product, not the whole screen.
- Press Squint.
Open a result to see the full ad in the Meta Ad Library, the advertiser's page, and the store the ad links to. The first search is free, with no account.
Why box the product
A screenshot has a lot more than the product: the app's buttons, text, a face, a background. A tight box around the product gives the best matches.
If you can't find it
- The ad may have stopped. Only active ads are searched.
- The screenshot may be too small or blurry. Try a bigger one, or find a clearer picture of the same product.
- Try another part of the picture. If there are several products, box a different one.
Other ways to find an ad you saw
- If you clicked the ad, it's in your Facebook ad activity.
- If you know the brand, open its page and go to the Ad Library.
